Environments can sometimes be more challenging than characters. More often than not, the perspective is where people trip up. Although when drawing more natural environments, there are a few other things to keep in mind.
I was asked about by an artist to give some suggestions and tips on their rough environment sketch. I made a video with four tips on how to approach roughing out an environment.
What I end up with is by no means a finished drawing, just the sketchy thought process you can use in order to come up with an interesting drawing:
