ART – How to Draw a Consistent Character
I’m amazed by how often I get asked something like, “how can I draw my characters looking the same every times I draw them?” I hadn’t realized it was a problem, but the subject kept coming up.
After one of my patrons and fellow artist Aaron D’Errico (who’s a great guy) asked me this question again, I thought I should just make a video. In the video below, I tried giving some tips on measuring and comparing parts of the character so you can best see what makes them look the way they do.
I also suggest an exercise that can be done to get better at “seeing,” and analyzing drawings.
